I was planning to replace my CPU with a Ryzen 5 5600x but wasn't sure if it would fit my motherboard (Asrock A320M-HDV). Some sources say it should work or you can update your BIOS, while others claim it won't function at all. My current chip is an AMD A8-9600.

Check Asrock's board page for BIOS updates that match your model. If found, it indicates a direct upgrade path since support likely ended for the A8.
