It's a solid board, just built for high performance and heavy overclocking. If you're not into that level of specs, it won't be ideal. With a stock 3950x on the board, a Tomahawk is more than sufficient. Although you might not find one in stock, an X570 Aorus Extreme offers similar power or even more, making it better suited for casual users. The B550 remains a solid choice as well—it's adequate. The Tomahawk, Mortar, Aorus Pro, Aorus Master (overkill in many aspects), Steel Legend, and A Pro all perform well and meet the requirements. For the Aorus Extreme, if you're aiming for overclocking, it pairs nicely with the Tomahawk and TUF. If you manage to get an Aorus Elite under $200, it will be a great fit. The Asus board isn't terrible, but it's not ideal for casual users. Both Corsair and RipJaws kits typically use NXI chips, possibly CJR/MJR or similar.

I placed another kit of CL16 at 3200MHz with 2x8GB DDR4. Perhaps I should reconsider since I haven’t installed both 3600MHz and 3200MHz versions and turned on XMP. What would happen if I installed two 8GB modules at 3200MHz plus two 8GB at 3600MHz? I can boot the system, but I might run into odd issues similar to what I experienced with the 3600MHz modules—especially when XMP was enabled and 3D apps didn’t work properly.

You meant to clarify whether you're referring to the BIOS or the actual hardware board, or something else entirely. Edit: To keep things simple, I'm focusing on selecting an x570 board—either the Crosshair VIII Hero or the Aorus Master. I've seen many discussions comparing them, mainly about minor differences in interfaces. As you noted, either option would be excessive for me. Besides I/O, what else should I think about before deciding? Since they're roughly similar in price, it shouldn't be a factor.

It refers to the actual hardware. The master works well. It uses 12 sic634's and is fully functional. You're welcome to proceed if you need or can't locate alternatives. The board itself is quite solid.
