Hello! Your setup sounds interesting for running old games and emulators. The i7 920 works well with Windows XP, but make sure your motherboard supports it. For better performance, consider upgrading to at least 2GB of RAM and using DDR2 memory. Avoid anything too outdated or low-end components that might cause compatibility issues.

Windows XP will set up, but you may face problems with drivers for things like Ethernet and audio. Choose the available version, preferably a 32-bit one instead of the 64-bit option.

It should function properly, though the reason might seem unclear. Windows 10 performs significantly better here compared to other versions, especially if you prefer a different operating system.

I’m looking for XP-only games that aren’t compatible with modern systems. I want to experience everything from Pac-Man to Quake 3 (and beyond) at a price of around $36. It makes sense.

You didn't base your assumption on any details—just a guess. No need for extra software to run those old games from cereal boxes.

I’ll receive a warning for this, right? Not really. Some of those games work on Windows 10 too. I installed copies of Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and 2 from General Mills cereal boxes.
