Hey everyone! I’m moving my A10-7850K to a Ryzen 3600 and have already bought it but it’s still waiting on a motherboard. I’m trying to find something under $100, maybe similar to this one. I’m curious about the B450M BIOS – will it automatically work with a Ryzen 3rd gen processor out of the box? If not, can I at least access the UEFI and flash my BIOS myself? From what I’ve read in reviews, it seems like a bit of a gamble. Thanks for your help!

I believe you can find the MSI B450 Tomahawk for less than $100, and many people are excited about it for Zen 2. It does include a BIOS Flashback feature, allowing you to update the BIOS without needing a new CPU. But I'm not sure if that's accurate.

They probably produced many of these boards, so it's likely you'll find one with an outdated BIOS. Boards lacking BIOS support for a specific CPU won't work at all, and this model doesn't include BIOS flashback. Only MSI provides BIOS flashback on certain B450 models.
