Check both screens and see if the GPU cooling reaches full speed.
Hello, from last week I observed my monitors suddenly turning off and the GPU fan running at full speed. I can still hear background audio, but the only solution I’ve tried is a complete reset. I’m unsure what’s causing this since it happens unpredictably while watching videos, browsing or playing games. I searched for answers but didn’t find any help. All my drivers are current and my PC has no viruses detected.
The system details are:
Windows 11 64 bit home
Memory: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64 GB (2x32GB) 5600 MHz
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
Cooler: Corsair ICUE H150i
GPU: Zotac RTX 4090 AMP Extreme
PSU: Corsair HX 1200 (1200 watt)
Motherboard: Asus Prime z790-A
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 2TBx2
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard right now? You may want to check if you can utilize the iGPU by removing the separate GPU from your setup, then using DDU to eliminate any Nvidia driver traces, to determine if you're encountering similar reboot issues.
Power Supply: Corsair HX 1200 (1200 watt)
How long has this unit been in use?
And I recently completed a BIOS update, removed NVidia drivers, and after a clean reboot, reinstalled the driver. I want to note that this doesn’t occur every minute—it happens only once a day when the PC is turned on, and after resetting the system, it disappears for the whole day. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to check again.
This is the BIOS I just installed for the new system:
PRIME Z790-A WIFI BIOS 1205
