My primary computer runs the slowest, taking around three minutes to start Windows 7. Once it boots, it becomes responsive quickly, so I didn’t upgrade to an SSD. My main laptop and secondary PC use SSDs and launch almost instantly. The remaining two PCs and laptops all have HDDs and take about a minute or less to boot.

Yeah my computer doesnt have much to start at startup. Desktop OK, power panel for my UPS, and windows security. it does have a logon script for my domain... oh and thunderbolt 3. I guess that's its own service/app. I bet thats what makes it longer. the fact its on a domain. The bios has fast boot enabled with hardware initialization set to minimal. (or whatever the term is) just check my sleep mode. 17 seconds from pressing the space bar to log in screen.

I’m unable to cast a vote since my computer doesn’t support sleep, and it’s taking longer than expected to boot. The server board is present, which delays POST time, and I’m dealing with RAID initialization that’s also slow. Running on Linux further affects fast startup performance.

I’m not sure about the fast boot feature, so I didn’t turn it on. I haven’t activated any speed settings.

Fast boot is stored in the BIOS, enabling the computer to start quickly by activating only essential components like USB ports and unused SATA ports. Fast startup is the standard Windows 10 setting that functions similarly to hibernate or hybrid sleep.

I believe some individuals might be deceiving themselves by claiming less than 10 seconds. My own motherboard takes 6 to 8 seconds just for posting, even with a quick startup. If we focus on the time after all post activities... then it's probably around 4 to 5 seconds.
