I just got an old x58 pc with an EVGA X58 Classified3 board. I’ve been checking eBay and similar sites, but it doesn’t look like a board that’s widely available. My goal was to relocate the components into another case, but if this board is rare for collectors, it would be great to know more about it.
It's a premium Evga board, though I don't believe the 4-way SLI is significantly better than it. A tiered model like the EVGA SR-2 stands out because it features a dual socket for overclocking, which is a rare feature collectors and enthusiasts would value.
X58 Classified3 remains a sought-after model despite being a collector's favorite. It’s considered one of the top choices for boosting X58 chips, and with EVGA exiting the motherboard scene, demand has risen. Like other X58 boards, these aren’t widely available, making it harder to sell at a high price unless you own the original packaging. Verify it’s the Classified3 (E770) and not a Classified 3-way (E760), as the newer model commands a slight premium. Although quite similar, most collectors don’t mind the differences.
I grasp your intention clearly, though it doesn’t provide helpful details.
It should appear between the first two x16 slots, while with the E760 it will be at the bottom left corner.
