Check ASUS ROG motherboard specifications thoroughly.
PC specifications include an Intel i7 10700k, Asus ROG Z490 gaming build, 16GB GSKILL Trident Z RGB 3600 MHz, Gigabyte GTX1660 Super X3, Corsair RM750, Nzxt Kraken X53 AIO, and 500GB NVMe M.2 SSD. The assembly was completed by a local PC store about a month ago. I noticed some scratches during the thermal paste installation today. The system is running and everything seems normal, but I’m quite concerned. I invested all my savings into this build and feel anxious. Some reference images are attached for your understanding.
It appears everything is in order, the issue is resolved. If appearance bothers you, consider adding touch-ups with paint, markers, or nail polish.
Laugh all you want, it’s nothing serious! My 1080 Ti has a scratch that reveals the traces, and the motherboard has a bigger one on the back side.
The memory connections to the RAM slots appear intact. No damage detected.
No worries at all. No copper traces were exposed, but it's thicker than your scratch. I trimmed it off one of the motherboard standoffs due to its unusual size compared to my old crosshair vii. There were no problems with the GPU either. The scratch has been there for about 1.5 years now. I just applied a thin layer of 3M Scotch Super 33+ tape over it (just for the GPU).
It seems the real agreement is hidden quite securely within the hardware... I've noticed some people having their devices destroyed by just a small scratch on the traces, right? Lol
