Changing the operating system drive on a laptop
Changing the operating system drive on a laptop
You can switch your current OS drive with a new one for testing Windows 11. However, after swapping back, some issues might arise depending on the version and settings. Your previous experience with Windows 10 suggests it handled the change relatively smoothly, but Steam may require logging in again regardless of the mode. Make sure to back up important data before making changes.
You're free to change drives as much as you like, but you may need to revert BIOS settings to match the requirements of the other operating system if the differences are substantial.
yeah, thats what i figured, i just wasnt sure im forgetting something… Like my processor probably not being eligible… its an i5u7200 but i think ill get it to work somehow… i decided I rather screw with this laptop than with my desktop pc - because it works really well right now, and im not sure its worth it possibly messing it up somehow (i really mostly dont trust the motherboard , it seems to have a mind on its own lol) ps: i also wanted to try Linux, same thing, i might just try on this laptop instead of my desktop after all. I really have little experience with this stuff…
