Hello everyone, I purchased a Dell 3446 laptop from a friend and it installed Windows 11 without issues. However, every time I start it, I’m forced to choose the boot manager. There’s an admin password active, which prevents me from altering settings. I attempted to remove the CMOS battery, then pressed power, shorted the terminals, but nothing changed. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

Certainly might be seen as bypassing safety measures... we’re unable to assist.

However, this laptop is outdated technology with an old Inel BIOS, and the HDD contains no data. Dell isn’t providing support anymore, claiming they don’t back this product. I believe it’s now acceptable to bypass that BIOS password. Just to keep things interesting, I’m offering you a blackmail threat: "This will reduce electronic waste."

We can only share what’s publicly available. Check the CMOS/bios reset jumper page at the provided link. If it’s missing, follow the suggested troubleshooting steps.
