Finding comfort with keyboard movement is something I've worked on after switching from console to PC. While I still prefer a controller, I'm determined to improve my keyboard and mouse skills. Do you have any advice or tips that could help me match the movement quality of using a controller?

Learn to quickly shut down Chrome windows. For navigation—think of it as a bit of practice. Adapt to using the mouse cursor instead of scrolling across the screen constantly. The diagonal shortcut remains available when you press two keys, but you'll notice more frequent use of side-to-side movement.

I’ve been operating with my PS4 controller on my PC, but using the mouse for snapping and aiming feels smoother. The keyboard movement still feels a bit clunky.

Repeat what you do often to get better. Place a colorful tape on the WASD buttons.

Get comfortable with "strumming" the keys, as if you're playing piano. Use diagonal movement by hitting the chords. For a WASD setup, adjust to this rhythm.

Keep the cross hair raised at eye level for simplicity—just flick left or right when aiming.

Your progress will be significant once you adapt to K+M. Controller... ugh...

Character control or shooting precision are distinct skills. Different drills will focus on one over the other. Aim coaches use the mouse for practice, yet you won’t actually move your character much. If you want to improve, try CSGO (free version available), and use aim trainers they provide. Some offer timed challenges where you navigate maps, while others keep you stationary for focused training. Team Deathmatch in CS is great for fast recovery and getting comfortable with the game. If you own the base MW2019 on PC, there are additional activities you can explore—let’s assess your current setup first.

My accuracy isn’t terrible—I just managed a few TDM matches last night, but my aim feels better with the mouse than it does with tracking. The tricky parts are sliding, crouching, sliding cancel, drop shots, grenade throws, moving, peaking corners, etc. If I keep my position steady and just move side to side, I can still land kills, though that’s not ideal for playing Warzone on keyboard and mouse, which is what I’m aiming for.
