After installing my new CPU, I see a black screen and can’t access BIOS. The other CPU still doesn’t work even after I swap it back in. It powers on, fans spin, but the power button keeps flashing. There’s no unusual odor from the motherboard, so I’m not sure if static discharge caused this issue.

Ensure the previous CPU is placed, then detach the small silver battery used in CMOS. Reinsert it onto the motherboard and attempt the process once more. The board may require a BIOS upgrade for the 5700x to function properly.
