Changing connections to different Wi-Fi adapters
Changing connections to different Wi-Fi adapters
I don’t need to ask you about using Wi-Fi, I can’t set up an Ethernet port. My TP-Link PCIe Wi-Fi adapter works well but sometimes loses connection. I tried switching to a USB Wi-Fi adapter as a backup and wondered if there’s a way to automate the change between devices based on their status.
Wouldn't you just connect the USB device? Compare speeds by visiting speedtest.net on both devices. As a last resort, check the adapter's drivers on the tp website and see if that resolves the issue.
There was previously a method to switch to a backup card, likely part of the Server OS suite. Check if this helps: https://medium.com/@paulmacovei/working-...e63192d846
Usb adapters frequently cause problems, leading to overheating and unstable connections. I recommend checking for updated drivers as this often resolves the issue. Consider other alternatives too, such as ethernet, power line adapters, or moca devices—they might offer better solutions.
I put in the drivers, not sure if it's fixed yet, we'll check later
