On Linux Mint, the update manager has stopped functioning recently. When attempting updates, it either fails silently or displays an error without prompting for a password. Using sudo apt update also doesn't work. You mentioned uninstalling Sublime Text, which might be causing it to show up in updates.
Consider using Chrome or Firefox as your default browser. It might help if the system suggests a brave approach.
I didn’t change to Linux just for Chrome, but Firefox doesn’t meet all my requirements. I’ve tried it before.
It indicates a problem downloading or installing the 32-bit version, which isn't available. Consider setting your package manager to use a 64-bit architecture for the Brave repository. You may also need to delete the Sublime repo from sources.list.d or use Synaptic to remove third-party repositories.
I recommend submitting this inquiry to the forum at https://forums.linuxmint.com/
Are you still using codelite? If not, delete that repository as you did with sublime text. Otherwise, import the repos using your GPG key. This guide explains the process. https://itsfoss.com/key-is-stored-in-leg...usted-gpg/
Uncertain about the steps, but after excluding codelite from extra repos, no error appears—only functionality drops when using the button. It functions with sudo apt-get upgrade. It works after removing Vinegar from the list and updating via terminal.
