I don’t understand why I didn’t explore this more, but I wanted to activate secure boot on my machine so I could install Windows 11. I changed my BIOS from CSM to UEFI and saved the settings, then tried launching Windows. It failed—I reverted the changes, and it reports that my M.2 slot is disabled, though it’s detected. It can’t be used as a boot drive. Please assist me.

Convert the disk from MBR to GPT. Reverse the BIOS setting, open Windows and follow the second method provided. Also, make sure to back up all your data.

Is this a fresh Windows 11 setup on a brand-new storage device? (B) A patch or swap for the existing hard drive? © An additional boot partition on the original drive if applicable. If B or C, you may find relevant discussions here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...294a6ad599... possible issues like legacy mode or multiple boot sectors could be involved. I’m not entirely sure without more context.
