My computer specs are: i5 6500 rtx 3060 with 16GB RAM. For a few weeks my display would intermittently drop the signal (HDMI cable) for a brief moment, so I changed to a displayport cable afterward. After that the issue improved but then performance in games suffered—starting at 180fps in CSGO, I was barely hitting 60 frames with many drops. Eventually I returned to HDMI, but it didn’t fix the problem. I discovered the solution involves these steps: turn off the PC, connect the HDMI cable to the TV, power on the PC, disconnect the HDMI cable from the TV and then connect it to the monitor, remove the HDMI cable from the GPU and monitor, and finally put the displayport in. After turning off the PC, I have to repeat this process. My screen only stabilizes with HDMI when using 60Hz.

Ensure Vsync was not activated during that process.

You should verify your Nvidia profile configuration to ensure it isn’t set to a default value. This might involve checking both game-specific and system-wide settings.
