Firefox has seen a significant reduction in memory usage recently. I've been using it since early beta about ten years ago and found it increasingly unreliable and resource-intensive over time. Eventually, I stopped using it and moved to Chrome roughly two years ago, which has performed perfectly. Even with the criticism and the change, both Firefox and Chrome remain much more efficient than Internet Explorer, and a bit better than Safari.

The operating system you have is proprietary. Nearly every program you employ runs on a closed-source platform. Your computer, the device you hold, and your mobile phone also operate under closed-source licenses.
