I just swapped out a MOBO in my PC. The old one had an RMA after it failed its PCIe slots. After installing new parts, I’m facing a few issues: 1) When I power on, Windows says I need a new PIN because I changed the security settings, even though I can’t connect to the internet to update it. I don’t have LAN drivers installed. 2) Windows doesn’t recognize LAN drivers. The BIOS says everything is fine, but no drivers appear during boot. (Note: I can’t connect it to an Ethernet port.) 3) The GPU works—lights up and fans spin—but the video output isn’t sending anything, and the fans only briefly stop before restarting. I’m unsure what’s going on. 4) Once I power on, fans start slowly, then pause for a half-second before resuming normal speed. Is this typical? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ryzen 7600 | 6/12 | Radeon RX7600 | 8GB | MSI B650 Edge Wi-Fi | EVGA 650W PSU | 32GB DDR5 | Corsair Vengeance RGB 2TB | Silicon Power | SSD Cooler Master 240 AIO

This is Windows 11. I’ll proceed with a fresh installation if needed.

1. Check if it’s linked to a Microsoft account—you should log in using your regular password.
2. Install drivers on another device before proceeding.

It's a good idea to upgrade. Make sure the GPU is functioning properly. If your previous motherboard's PCIe ports were damaged, it's possible the GPU was lost too.
