I upgraded my motherboard, case, power supply, and fans. For the motherboard, you can install your GPU, CPU, storage, and RAM directly. You don’t need to reinstall Windows unless you’re changing the OS. Your prebuilt PC came with two 2x16 RAM sticks, so you can add more if needed. For storage, you have two SSDs available—just decide how you want to use them.
I maintain the same operating system unless it isn't performing well, which usually causes some lag or delay. Regarding the SSDs, simply connect them to the new board as before. The main issue is that the pre-made units use identical standard sizes rather than custom ones. This affects both the case and power supply units.
I’ve purchased a fresh case and PSU, eagerly anticipating their delivery together with the fans and thermal paste. I chose the EVGA SuperNOVA 550w 80+ gold model.
