Hello, you notice that some systems display a unique boot image when they power up, while yours shows the standard Windows logo. If you want to switch it, refer to the diagram provided. Updated March 14, 2017 by GanstaKingofSA For clearer guidance.

Uncertain about the process with MBR Legcay setups, but on UEFI systems the splash logo comes from the motherboard itself. Switching it to another option usually needs special BIOS modifications, which can be risky, so it's likely they don't handle that easily.

Found something that claims it can alter content but the result hinges on its authenticity.

After checking online, it looks like modifying the splash screen on Linux is possible but involves complex steps like registry tweaks and adding third-party files to the boot sector. It’s not recommended. Stick with Linux for advanced customization if you choose.

That's precisely what I discovered—it looks genuine, though it doesn't seem worthwhile to pursue.

I plan to test this on my Mac using Windows first, before applying it to my main PC.

If you attempt this and it causes issues, you haven’t damaged your operating system—you’ve compromised your motherboard. Please don’t proceed.

This reminds me of how it's handled in Linux—just open the resources used at startup, like the splash screen, tweak them in GIMP, save them, and you're good. What you have to do on Windows feels a bit unusual, but since the splash logo comes from your MOBO via proxy, eventually you'll need to modify your UEFI, which is where things get risky.

You can use either GIMP or Photoshop; neither is mandatory.
