Change the layout of all programs on the hard drive.
Hello, I recently installed a new SSD boot drive to resolve a problem and now can't access any of the necessary software. I'm not sure how to reinstall them without disrupting my workflow, which would take extra time. I've already waited a while, but I'm looking for advice on whether the file path issue is related to moving Windows from an HDD to an SSD. Any suggestions or tools could help me fix this? Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Some programs function properly as long as file locations stay consistent. Reinstalling the operating system drive while keeping the software on another drive works if possible. If you've moved the OS to a new drive and repurposed the original, a full reinstall is necessary. Re-mapping all file paths is simpler when the installer handles it automatically. You can usually restore most settings and profiles later. Origin and Steam only need the platform reinstalled, while games can be re-downloaded without further action.
