Could the frame rate on DVDs in VLC be adjusted to fix the lag you experienced? You mentioned a problem with your Blu-ray player being set to 24 FPS, which works for movies but causes audio/video sync issues after a while. You found a way to change it to 60 FPS and it resolved the issue—do you think there might be a similar setting in VLC?

As the Convert/Save feature is discussed (mentioned in the video as another choice), I have some additional notes to share regarding that approach. Instead of merely picking an encoding setting, you might also adjust it.

You might want to switch to MPC-HC Media Player Classic Home Cinema. Within the Options, Playback, Fullscreen menu offers a choice to adjust the playback frame rate immediately, eliminating the need to modify the original file.
