Hello everyone, I’m planning to switch to Linux as my primary operating system. For gaming, I’ll use Proton, Wine, and similar tools. I also need a Windows GUI for VR experiences and some software. I have two graphics cards—a 3070 and a 970. I was thinking of using the 3070 for the main OS and routing the other to the virtual machine. Is it feasible to boot on the 3070, then switch to the 970 while running the VM, and finally swap back after closing it? Thanks! P.S.: My English is really messy and my spelling is terrible. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's disappointing to hear that. Are there any possibilities using different hardware or tech? I'm curious to see if someone used Intel's graphics or a dedicated card. Thanks for the thought!

This refers to NVIDIA Optimus technology, which adds extra hardware components—something not available on standard desktop PCs.

You'll need to restart the Xorg server whenever you change settings. However, this is feasible from a technical standpoint.
