Change the default location where Windows saves files on your system.
Hi everyone, I own three storage drives. The first is an SSD for the operating system and similar tasks, the second is an HDD that's already full, and the third is where I plan to store my main files. I’m familiar with adjusting settings in Windows 10, but I run into an issue: after changing my default save location, a new empty folder appears. My folders contain over 300 GB of documents, videos, pictures, and music, and I don’t want to move everything around. Can I change the default save location to a specific drive instead of selecting a drive? I’d appreciate knowing if this is feasible using the command prompt. Thanks in advance!
In Windows Explorer simply click on Documents and choose Properties, then navigate to Location and update it to your desired map.
