No, you cannot directly increase CPU speed using the Windows Registry Editor. The registry is used for system settings and configurations, not for adjusting processor performance.

I was a little snarky. To give you a little more information: if you want to make your cpu run faster, you need to change the clock speed, this is called overclocking. the typical way to modify clock speeds is in the motherboards BIOS. BE CAREFUL, you can damage components easily changing these settings (especially voltages)

I know about overclocking, but your laptop uses a 5105U Core i3 processor and I doubt you can boost it. Also, I’m puzzled why your CPU runs above the base speed in Task Manager—your system’s base is 2.10 GHz.

Most Intel processors can be increased in speed with suitable workloads and cooling solutions.

I understand this, but I’m not seeing the performance jump beyond the default speed, even with tools like Cinebench or Geekbench. I’ve checked my BIOS settings and confirmed hyperthreading is active.

The Windows Registry isn't something to tamper with. Task Manager shows different activity during load versus idle, usually staying minimal at idle and rising with demand.

Under load it reaches maximum efficiency at 100% usage and 2.9GHz, while during idle it drops quickly and the performance slows gradually over time.

Uncertain about the slowdown, it might be due to closing processes or clearing temporary files. As long as it recovers, everything seems okay. A fresh Windows 10 installation could likely resolve the issue.
