Change Call of Duty Warzone settings to use DirectX 11 version
Hello everyone, here are my computer details. 8700K processor, 2080 Super graphics (445.87), 32GB RAM with 20GB page file, running Windows 10 version 1909. There are no crashes reported. The game operates smoothly but consistently uses DirectX 12. I attempted using -d3d11 in the additional command lines, but it didn’t help. Are there other options you recommend? Thanks!
The game isn't compatible with DirectX 11 since it's designed for DirectX 12 and built on top of it. Running it with DirectX 11 wouldn't offer any real advantages beyond possibly supporting older OSDs or performance tools, which are already supported by newer software versions.
It seems this application doesn’t work on DX11. I believed Windows 7 lacked DX12 support and assumed the game could run in DX11 since it does on Windows 7. That wasn’t true. I favor DX11 because I often experience stuttering with DX12, but if it isn’t available, I have to accept the limitations.
I just replied to confirm, I used it on DirectX 11 with a GTX 770, but now I'm using an RTX 2070 and the game seems to detect that and doesn't allow Direct11 anymore. I think if your graphics card supports DirectX 12 it will use it, otherwise it defaults to 11. Sorry for the unclear English. Bye!
