Challenging and odd memory problems with Apu
This laptop is really tricky to fix. It’s on a rent-to-own plan and has an APU and GPU. The GPU is a 1650 (4 gigabits), but the APU is using 2 gigabits of the total RAM (8 gigabits). I’m having trouble finding a way to reduce or disable how much RAM the APU uses in the BIOS, and even in Windows it’s not working. This function exists for a specific purpose and disabling it might affect performance. It allows switching to APU graphics during battery-saving modes, which can be helpful in certain situations. For better efficiency, consider lowering the storage size to around 500MB while keeping this feature active.
The main problem is when I entered BIOS it was an HP model and I couldn't locate a method to lower the settings. If you have suggestions, feel free to share!
