I've got a couple of questions that have been puzzling me. Your memory usage seems unusually high, even after restarting the whole system. With about 32 GB of RAM installed, only around 40% is being used—just Steam and your antivirus are running. Why is so much of your memory being consumed? You don’t see much activity in Resource Monitor. Also, your Task Manager lists a RAM speed of 1333MHz, but your RAM is advertised as 2666MHz. Should I enable XMP settings or is this just how the Task Manager reports it? Thanks for your help!

Task Manager displays which application consumes the most memory. The value 1333 indicates the usage, doubling it gives 2666.

RAM consumption isn't crucial unless your system is completely full and switching to disk storage. Windows stores various data in RAM to improve speed, but when performance is strained, it removes items from the cache to free space for active processes. In short, you don’t need to worry unless you’re experiencing paging. DDR stands for double data rate. A 2666Mhz RAM actually operates at around 1333Mhz. The double data rate allows two operations per clock cycle, effectively doubling the speed.

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t realize the RAM issue was this way until now. Since there haven’t been any blue screens, everything seems to be okay. Appreciate the clarification!

There’s also a method I used to reduce hard drive usage which might slightly lower your RAM needs. Searching for "windows 10 hard drive 100%" should help you find it—it’s just disabling a search function in Windows, though it still works. Check Task Manager for anything unfamiliar or unnecessary, and make sure Chrome and browser extensions aren’t running in the background. Discord opens multiple times in Task Manager; I don’t know why.
