Hello, my name is Hylke. I recently set up a new PC and everything worked perfectly. I installed Steam and some games, but when I tried to run them, the frame rate was only 20-30 FPS. I checked the CPU temperature, which was around 40-50°C, and after reinstalling Windows and drivers, the GPU usage stayed between 10-30%. I thought it was a power issue, so I bought new power supplies, but the problem persisted. Now I’m really confused and need help. If anyone can assist, please let me know—I’m sorry for my bad English and I’m from the Netherlands! My specs are: CPU i9 10900F, GPU Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti AERO OC V2, 16GB DDR4 RAM, AORUS Z490 ELITE AC cooling, and MSI A1000G PCIe 5.0.
These are software-related problems; power supply isn't involved. For tracking, use HWInfo64 to monitor stats. HWMonitor tends to display inaccurate data, particularly with recent processors—better to skip it if you can.
Dayz Chivalry 2 Battlefield 2042 shows high CPU load while GPU usage remains minimal.
High demand on either part simply indicates the game is more challenging for one type of hardware compared to the other. The focus should be on performance rather than usage patterns, since even a modest FPS doesn't matter if the system isn't handling the load properly.
