Certain games operate at elevated memory temperatures.
I typically enjoy solo gaming sessions and occasionally play a few multiplayer titles such as Apex, Battlefield, and CS2. In Apex and CS2 the processor temps stay below 45°C, but recently in Battlefield 6 (even during the open beta) they rise to 50-52°C within minutes. It’s unusual for memory temperatures to vary so much across different games. This machine is a Hynix-CJR TridentZ Neo (CL16 16*2), so a temperature above 50°C does seem quite high, doesn’t it?
Could the entire issue be becoming warmer? A temperature above 70°C in many parts isn’t unusual, especially with VRAM. Edited October 18, 2025 by leclod
Cease tracking unnecessary temperature readings. Not all components behave identically under varying conditions. Also, understand the heat limits of RAM—this shows they can manage significantly more heat, making it unnecessary to stress over it. Engaging in this kind of work feels like hunting for problems. Being overly anxious about small details adds pressure. Stop.
No? That's quite chilly. Ram can handle a lot more before things become a problem. Each program works with the PC in its own way, which is typical. Plus, the interior of the case might just be heating up during gameplay, raising temperatures. Just brush it off and keep enjoying the games.
