Hi, I see you're using a Technicolor CGA2121 router and a Gigabyte Z390 gaming motherboard. After connecting the Cat8 cable, you notice the router shows "You are connected to the internet" but doesn't open any pages. You're unsure if your router or motherboard is compatible. Also, Cat5e works fine. Could you check the port types on both devices and ensure the cables match? Let me know what you find! Thanks!

You chose the Cat 5e just for the reason. The Cat 8 won’t improve performance. Both cables don’t change speed.

You might want to inspect the connections on the plugs using some electrical gear. It seems there could be an issue with the link. The condition of your high-tech cable appears questionable.

It seems the previous connection is fine, but the new one isn't. Could be a faulty cable. I use Cat8 cables everywhere and they function perfectly.
