Hello everyone, I'm searching for Ethernet cables for my setup and my partners'. On Amazon I noticed a lot of different CAT ratings. Do you know what those mean or which one works best? Also, I use 5GHz Wi-Fi, is that relevant?

Cat ratings show how fast devices are rated for various uses. Cat5e supports up to 1Gbps over 100m plus 2.5Gbps up to 100m. Cat6 offers 10Gbps up to 55m (5Gbps and below 100m). Cat6a extends the range to 100m with higher speeds. Cat7 isn’t an official standard—skip it. Cat8(.1) is for data center cabling, ignore unless you need 25Gbps or 40Gbps over 30m. Cat8(.2) matches 8.1 speed with a different connector. Pick a reliable Cat5e or Cat6 cable, avoid CCA or aluminum-clad copper, and you’re good.

Maintain a minimum of CAT5e quality and avoid exceeding CAT6 cables unless you possess cutting-edge high-speed home networking equipment.

You're looking for a suitable CAT for two 10-meter cables. The best option depends on your specific needs like voltage requirements and installation conditions.
