Hello, I transferred my system to a new case and it won't power up anymore. I've already reviewed all the instructions from the pinned troubleshooting thread. Issue: With ATX and CPU power cables connected, the PC fails to start—no fans spinning, no LEDs. Shorting the motherboard pins doesn't help. When only the ATX cable is in place it does start up (LEDs light up, fans begin). The PSU functions properly after pin shorting, and a 5V standby is present. Previously this system worked fine in the same case (different CPU).

Setup: R5 5600 2x8GB 3200MHz HyperX Fury Gigabyte B450i Aorus pro Wi-Fi Rev1.0 mini ITX Gigabyte GTX1070 Windforce PSU Seasonic Core GM-500 Case: Seasonic SST-GD09B

That's unusual. It might be better to start with a simple setup—just motherboard, CPU, RAM, and power supply—and check if it powers up. (Disconnect the pins)

It seems I accidentally installed a motherboard under the CPU power connector, which likely caused a short circuit and halted the system from turning on. Leaving the case standoffs in place is fine, but make sure there are no remaining standoffs where there shouldn’t be any motherboard holes. I’m glad nothing got damaged or burned because of this mistake.
