I think it's a good idea to try Fraps next. Thanks everyone!

Files can become extremely large, so it's best to use a substantial storage drive.

I highly recommend OBS. I've been using it since I switched from Fraps, even though it has a slight learning curve. It's completely free and comes with a strong support community offering many plugins and settings options. Fraps isn't terrible if you're willing to spend money (it's affordable for its features), but it lacks the flexibility of OBS and tends to create larger file sizes. I personally used Fraps with my older dual-core processor because real-time encoding would significantly slow it down, whereas Fraps maintained performance with more manageable files. I suggest giving OBS a try first—it's free—and you might enjoy it!

I experienced no issues with Shadow Play, which I rely on regularly.
