I need an HDMI splitter that works with HDMI 2.1 at 120Hz and 4K, matching the pass-through function of your capture card. It should support consoles such as Switch, Xbox Series X, and PS5. I’ve tried the UGREEN HDMI 2.1 Switch Aluminum model, but it didn’t work as expected. Looking for recommendations on splitters that fit these specifications and the minimum requirements I mentioned. I’ve already returned the UGREEN unit, so I can’t adjust settings right now.
It seems there could be a problem with HDCP functionality. I'm trying to understand your setup: the console is connected to the splitter's input, with one side going to the capture card and the other to the monitor. If the capture card can't establish a HDCP handshake with the console, the HDMI link will be lost. HDCP requires all devices in the chain to support it, so if either device isn't compliant, the connection won't work. I'm not sure if the switcher or the capture card is the non-HDCP-compliant part.
I don<|pad|> a HDCP isn't completely out of the question since the capture card connects to both the switch and Xbox. Later I used the PS5 and had to disable HDCP on it to get it to function. When testing the capture card and splitter, the PS5 had HDCP active, so I might try it again later. The Xbox's HDCP tends to switch on and off based on the media apps being used. I'm not sure about the switch itself. I checked the Amazon listing for anyone who used that switcher with a capture card, but got no replies.
