You can achieve this by using a native screenshot tool for Windows. There are built-in options like Snipping Tool or the built-in Paint app that let you capture the screen and save it with a timestamp in the desired folder. To set it up, open the application, choose your capture mode (e.g., full screen), and save the file automatically with the date and time. If you need step-by-step guidance, let me know!

Yes, you can merge them into one action and save automatically. Instead of using the long sequence, try selecting both items and using the crop tool together, or use a shortcut that combines selection and saving. This way you avoid multiple steps and keep your workflow efficient.

It's a feature, though this pair covers most everyday needs. That's why third-party options aren't widely embraced.

Many options exist. Greenshot, Lightshot and ShareX are often mentioned for stronger capabilities.

Adjust Windows settings to launch Snipping Tools via Print-Screen key. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard > "Use the Print screen button to open screen snipping." When using Snipping Tool (Win+Shift+S or Print Screen with the option active), choose what you wish to capture: a full window, a defined area (rectangle), or any shape. Add a pause before capturing, enabling screen recording or video segments of windows. After taking a screenshot, click the notification prompt to confirm it was saved, then edit as needed.
