Hey everyone, yesterday I had my PC cleaned by me and my friend. We put in fresh thermal paste and a new cooler (212 Spectrum v3). I also got two 16x2 RAM sticks. After installation, the PC started up fine but only recognized 16GB instead of the full 32GB. We tried putting both sticks in every slot and they worked individually. My machine is an i7-6700h170 with 12GB RAM.

Make sure they're set up correctly in the appropriate locations, then reposition the CPU.

It clarifies the purpose and process behind something. It shows what the action truly does and how it works.

Consider removing the cooler, extract the CPU from its socket, inspect the socket for dust or debris, verify there are no bent pins, and then reinstall both components.

Checking the BIOS version, it's currently F23a. The RAM should be in slots 1 and 3, as per the manual.

they are identical units, performing perfectly before that. For the bios version, the last update occurred about 1-2 months ago.
