it's not a blown capacitor, it's actually missing. that's not the M version of the board because the M model uses a smaller chipset, a smaller heatsink, and a different SATA port layout. I have no idea what to do except replace one capacitor or connect those two remaining ones to see if it works.

I don’t get how it fell off either. You’re correct about the motherboard box listing B550-PLUS—I’m not sure where I saw B550M-PLUS and typed it in. Fortunately, I have enough knowledge of electronics to avoid damaging those pins. Unfortunately, I can’t remember where I stored the faulty capacitor to check its value and get a replacement.
