It used to be simple to resolve issues in my earlier Windows version, but the latest release appears to have added complications. I struggle to prevent Windows from displaying the sign-in screen each time I power on the machine. A suggestion on YouTube proposed changing a registry entry to hide the check-mark in "netplwiz," which might eliminate the screen. However, adjusting that setting didn’t help. Anyone know a way to stop Windows from prompting me to sign in upon waking? This matters because I rely on my phone to wake the PC, and the remote mouse app fails before the login screen appears, forcing me to move around. My setup is crucial for using my TV in bed and keeping the workflow smooth. I’m running Windows 11 Pro, Workstation Build 26100, 13900Kf, 4080, 32GB DDR5, 6000MHz.

Have you attempted to turn it off via the settings? What makes you think a password is necessary on this device? Deleting the password could resolve your problems if disabling it through settings fails.

Hi @johnt The feature you mentioned is no longer available in the latest versions of Win11. @OddOod I completed the initial section before, but it didn’t resolve the problem. The second step in gpedit—Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon “Don't display the Getting Started welcome screen at logon.”—appears to have fixed it. Odd I didn’t find this after searching it up multiple times. Thanks a lot.

It seems the issue only appeared briefly and has since returned. Windows appears to have fixed it, but retrying the same fix isn't effective anymore. The screen still displays the same sign after waking up. Anyone else have experienced this? @OddOod

Here are several ways to activate the feature. It seems you likely reversed each setting except for SFC/DISM. If that’s the case, it probably indicates an installation issue—consider reinstalling.

This adjustment appears effective. Modify the "value" field in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\default\Settings\AllowSignInOptions to 0.
