Hello. I accidentally installed some software I shouldn’t have- HP design jet software/Drivers. There seemed to be no option for uninstall in the app section so I had to go through the control, panel or device manager and do “remove “and it said it would attempt to uninstall the drivers. I am not sure what it is still remaining. I still have files under program files called “HP print preview” and under in main windows settings in Bluetooth and devices/printers and scanners there is still the HP design jet T120 with a series of random letters and numbers next to it and “driver unavailable”. However thier were two entries for this printer before the “removal” and the printer successfully no longer shows up on the printer “choice” list when live printing . Any insights much appreciated thank you. Is this bad for my computer? Update – I was able to get rid of it in classic control panel and it doesn’t seem to show up anymore. but what about the HP print preview files under Program Files ? It is an HP branded computer…

You can use something like Revo Uninstaller to take out leftover files or apps... Uninstalling software and deleting programs is a simple process - Revo Uninstaller Pro makes it easy to get rid of any program from your PC. Removing and deleting programs and software in Windows with Revo Uninstaller Pro works well! Even the trial version should be enough for you to try it out at www.revouninstaller.com.

Another way is to give those new names if that works well enough. Put an X right at the start of each file name. If things don't go wrong after a few restarts, you can delete the old files straight away. Just save some copies somewhere else for safety - just in case something goes wrong again.

It's a bit late to come in, but if you look at Print Management, you can find the drivers. Pick the ones you don't need and hit Remove.
