I was seeking some guidance but am a beginner with overclocking and voltage adjustments. I increased my G.Skill 6000MHz DDR5 RAM to the recommended level instead of the automatic setting of 4000. I attempted to change it via BIOS on the motherboard, but it would revert to BIOS mode. Eventually, I managed to set it to 5000 with stable performance. Any tips? My specs are: G Skill Z5 32GB (2x16) Asus Strix z690 12700k

You adjusted the frequency directly in the BIOS settings, but if you want higher performance, consider activating an XMP profile instead.

Only occurs when using four DIMMs or incorrect slots. It’s unusual to reach 5000MHz at that frequency.

I don't have access to the current BIOS version information. You can check it by opening the BIOS setup during boot or consulting the device's documentation.

Thank you for the updates. I've confirmed they're placed correctly on the two sticks. It seems to be the latest version available. Yes, the setup was done using an XMP profile.
