Hello, I'm facing an issue with my montech sky two case for a new build. The metal plate at the back, where the ports are located, is too long and blocks my ability to fully fit the MSI GTX 1060 6GB. It prevents me from inserting the GPU completely into the slot. Since my CPU doesn<|pad|>, I really need a GPU. Do you have any suggestions?

The motherboard is an MSI MGP B550 Gaming Plus, the CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600. Do you require additional specifications? I'll take a picture now.

Occasionally it fits perfectly. At first it seemed too tight, but I managed to add just enough force to get it into place. Just be careful not to damage it.

The images showing your issue would be useful. It seems you didn't install the standoffs before inserting the motherboard into the case.

This appears to be the most logical reason, even though you'd anticipate the rear I/O to also have a problem.
I've experienced similar tight fits before, where the GPU rear shield is touching the motherboard, possibly causing it to hit a bottoming point.
Photos might help clarify the situation.

It seems the stand offs weren't installed, likely because the case model is designed for a mid-tower setup with a maximum length of 400mm. I think they probably just bolted the board into the case without the stand offs, which would prevent the GPU and I/O shield from fitting or aligning correctly.

The case should have included hardware, and the standoffs appear to be screws with a top that can be screwed into the motherboard's holes. You'll need pliers or a nut driver to secure them properly. Make sure to "dry fit" the screws first to confirm they match the correct thread type—using the wrong ones could cause cross-threading or improper fit. '6-32' screws with coarse threads are common for standoffs and 3.5" drives, while 'M3' screws have finer threads and are typically used for 2.5" SSDs or HDDs.

Thanks for sharing the details. It seems I was at fault for the issue. The GPU backplate wasn't staying in place as it should have, sliding outside the case instead of behind the motherboard. I didn't realize it needed to be positioned that way.
