Can't exceed 4.0 overclock for 3570k GA-Z77X-UP4
Hello everyone I'm struggling to reach 4.0 OC on my Intel 3570k GA-Z77X-UP4 TH. The system keeps crashing. I think I might be doing something wrong! 😛
My temperatures aren't too high and the voltage is low. Any suggestions?

OC3D provides this manual, which is intended to assist. They are employing a 3770K and a marginally varied motherboard (mainly Gigabyte), though much of the advice remains relevant for your case.
You should raise the voltage, but it's something you need to handle with caution.
It's hard to say definitively, it depends on your chip. Some need higher voltage than others. The stock price was around 1.185, started at 1.105, rose to 1.120 with small steps, then crashed and I went back down. Should I be targeting 1.130 or something else?
It's clear you're looking for even more, but nobody can say how much. Your PC isn't just a regular part—it's part of the CPU selection process. You can't assume you can boost performance beyond the standard or lower the core frequency too much.
