Hey everyone Smile I purchased The Witcher 3 around the real release last year and played a lot before summer, when I sold my gaming laptop since I didn’t need it anymore. I just set up a new desktop before Christmas and tried some different games on Steam that worked fine. Recently, when I wanted to play Witcher 3, the game appeared after I clicked the Steam forum to check for updates or help. Unfortunately, nothing has helped so far—here’s what I’ve tried: 1) Restarting Steam 2) Restarting my computer 3) Fixing the vcredist_x64 issue 4) Uninstalling and reinstalling the game 5) Clearing my Steam cloud saves folder (even though it was empty). Thanks in advance! Edit: I can open the game but can’t save new progress, so I have to start fresh each time.

Would you like to use your previous save? You can turn off cloud synchronization by visiting Steam - Witcher 3 properties, selecting Updates, and unchecking "Enable Steam Cloud sync for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." I’ve disabled all cloud sync for my games. Previously, with GTA, the issue arose because cloud sync was enabled, causing me to lose at least five hours of play without reason.

Have you attempted to turn off cloud sync for the game? If not, click right-click on the game → properties → updates → Disable Steam cloud synchronisation

The issue is that I lack my previous saves on my current machine.

I would prefer that, but if not, it's okay.

I just tested what you shared, but it shows a warning about incompatibility. This message appears consistently whenever the issue arises.

I discovered a useful post on a forum about removing data from the Steam cloud. It might be helpful: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/sh...?t=2470784 If needed, reach out to Steam support.
