it won't allow me to update my bios anyone can assist?
i followed all the instructions carefully, checked various guides.
changed usb drives (sandisk32/16gb) to three different ports (3,2,BIOS).
even tried older versions and reset the bios through the pins.
when i go to mfllash i see the file click but no confirmation appears.
i also tried using the bios button but it didn't work.
msi support hasn't provided much help so far, and i've looked in a few forums.
i reached out for advice and asked around, hoping someone could help.
details:
i'm facing an issue with my MSI Z790-A PRO MAX WIFI motherboard. My current bios version is E7E07IMS.M40.
problem:
mfllash won't confirm any bios file, even the latest official one and slightly older versions.
bios flashback using a properly prepared usb stick fails — the led either doesn't flash or doesn't complete the update.
i've tried a 32gb fat32 usb and confirmed the bios files are correct for the z790-a pro wifi model.
i also loaded optimized defaults.
please help me.

Are you certain you are checking the correct motherboard for download?

Video tutorial:
Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKMub20CUNI
Keep in mind that even though the BIOS file is small, it won't update the BIOS immediately—it will take some time. For my X870E MoBo, I spent about 5 minutes in total.

They seem to be a version for the Max, not the one you mentioned.

it was just a typo when you asked chat cpt to provide an explanation.
i managed to get the correct file, so you're all set.
even when trying older versions, everything worked fine until you reached the point where you selected the file—no error messages appeared.

I have my RAM module in the incorrect slot since the CPU fan prevents access, and I’m wondering if this could be the cause. I also notice messages indicating the RAM isn’t in the best position.

I can't display or provide actual screenshots, but I can guide you on how to find one. Use CPU-Z and navigate to the motherboard section to capture the desired image.
