I'm trying to use my Linux PC for a Minecraft server but can't access it. My Windows PC reported "Pinging" which indicated it recognized the IP yet couldn't connect. When I run Minecraft locally, using "localhost" works perfectly, but the same issue occurs. The IP shows "Pinging" and fails to connect. The terminal remains inactive when I attempt to join. My friend can easily connect by entering the IP, but I'm worried about joining from my dorm when it's on the same network. This server will serve multiple purposes, starting as a game server.
