Can you Tell the Difference at 4K ? Anti-Aliasing vs No AA
Yes, anyone with a 4K setup or experience in 4K gaming can provide an answer.
In BFH, improving mesh quality is more effective than using textures for jagged lines.
Some believe that with 4K resolution, the need for AA decreases because the image quality is significantly higher. I haven’t reached 4K myself. It seems DX12 might be optimized for 4K gaming soon. Most games are built for 1920x1080, though some say 1440P appears superior to 1080P. At 4K there’s only a slight gap between 1440P and 4K. I expect this will shift as developers adapt to 4K polygons. I hope DX12 incorporates the CPU’s built-in GPU to work alongside discrete graphics cards, boosting performance for current setups at both 1440P and 4K.
