sad story. received a call from parents who lost their son. the situation was unclear, but it broke my heart when I noticed it had W11 with BitLocker enabled. i believed it would be impossible to bypass it, but after searching, i found a tool called BLR-BitLocker-Recovery-Tool. is this genuine? it claims to work around lost passwords and recover data. i’m hoping for advice before spending $100. if this is just useless software, can the parents reach out to Microsoft to check if they can access the child’s email and find any clues about the code? i’m confident they have the necessary paperwork to verify their story. thanks for your thoughts and

This depends entirely on how it becomes unavailable.
If the issue is the absence of a BL password, then you're in a tough spot.
A $100 solution could bypass that, wouldn't it?
We definitely can't help with breaking passwords.
