Hello everyone
I have a GTX 1050 with one fan and I'm trying to overclock it for better performance. So far, I've been looking online about overclocking with one fan versus two fans and some opinions suggest it's risky to change the single fan. Others compare it to the two-fan setup. I'm wondering if I can push my GTX 1050 to its maximum or not. Please help me out. Thanks!

As long as the temperatures remain stable, everything is okay. The 1050 has a low TDP, which is beneficial. Make sure the temps stay below 80°C.

As discussed before, proceed carefully, increasing frequency in small steps, and you should be okay.

I'm more worried about whether it uses a 6 pin PCIe cable. The 1050 draws 75W from the 16x PCIe slot initially. If you overclock it, you'll need more than that. Without the extra power cable, it might overload the MB slot. A 10% overclock will bring it to around 83W, assuming voltage isn't increased. Going up the voltage will cause even higher consumption. A 2 fan card with a heatpipe cooler should perform better than one with just a fansink. But using the extra power cable puts the MB at risk.
