Can you operate a single stick of RAM using an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G?
I'm facing problems with my current setup—Amd Ryzen 5 2400g, 1x8GB RAM, GTX 1050 Ti. Games and apps keep stuttering and crashing. I’m considering upgrading to dual 8GB sticks, but it would take a while since RAM is expensive. My CPU runs at 2400GHz and I’m using the Ryzen 5 2400g. Can you suggest a workaround while I wait for a better RAM option?
Performance is significantly reduced with just one stick of RAM, though simple games should still function.
You've already connected your display cable to the GPU, that's great!
Maybe you could reduce the graphics settings in the games. Overclocking your RAM or CPU might help fix the stuttering, though it could require dual-channel memory. If you're willing to try...
I've already attempted that, but for certain games I just crash when they start, making overclocking pointless. Thanks!
